Two-phase flow of couple stress fluid thermally effected slip boundary conditions: Numerical analysis with variable liquids properties

Pei-Ying Xiong et al.

Summary: The study investigates the Poiseuille flow of a couple stress fluid with velocity and temperature slip boundary conditions. It examines the effects of thermal conductivity, thermal radiations, variable viscosity, and non-uniform magnetic field on velocity and temperature fields in the presence of hafnium nanoparticles. The study solves the non-linear equations numerically using the shooting technique and compares the results with previous literature for validation.

Investigation of mixture fluid suspended by hybrid nanoparticles over vertical cylinder by considering shape factor effect

Kh. Hosseinzadeh et al.

Summary: This study investigates the flow of a mixture of water and ethylene glycol with hybrid nanoparticles over a vertical stretching cylinder, considering the effects of magnetic field, thermal radiation, viscous dissipation, and natural convection. Novelty lies in the exploration of different shape factors and their impact on dimensionless velocity and temperature profiles for single and hybrid nanofluids. Results show significant differences in velocity and temperature profiles based on nanoparticle shape and external parameters such as magnetic field and radiation.

Thermal analysis of a moving fin using the radial basis function approximation

Maryam Fallah Najafabadi et al.

Summary: The study analyzed the heat transfer and temperature distribution in a moving fin, finding that increasing thermal conductivity leads to higher conduction heat transfer and dimensionless temperature, while increasing sink temperature results in a rise in ambient temperature. Adjusting parameters such as N-c and N-r can alter the temperature distribution profile.

Impacts of lorentz force and chemical reaction on peristaltic transport of Jeffrey fluid in a penetrable channel with injection/suction at walls

Z. Abbas et al.

Summary: This article examines the peristaltic transport of a non-Newtonian Jeffrey fluid through a porous channel, taking into account the impacts of chemical reaction and magnetohydrodynamic, as well as slip and convective conditions. Results show that velocity decreases with increasing magnetic and slip parameters, while pumping rate increases in the co-pumping region. The model aids in understanding the two-fluid flow behaviors in physiological systems.

V Thirunavukkarasu et al.

Summary: The study investigated the hydrothermal behavior of a hybrid nanofluid with MoS2-TiO2 hybrid nanoparticles in a cavity enclosure, showing that an increase in Rayleigh number from 10 to 100 led to a 61.82% improvement in average Nusselt number. Results indicate that the Rayleigh number has the most significant contribution to the achieved equation, accounting for approximately 61.88%.

Mathematical modeling of bio-magnetic fluid bounded within ciliated walls of wavy channel

Mubbashar Nazeer et al.

Summary: Peristaltic transport of couple stress fluid with heat transfer is studied in a channel with flexible walls furnished with hair-like structures. The simultaneous propagation of metachronal waves and peristaltic waves is found to be responsible for the locomotion of biological fluids. The study also highlights the resistive behavior of magnetic fields, viscous dissipation, and entropy generation in the two-dimensional rheological flow. Finally, a closed-form solution for the nonlinear coupled differential equation is achieved, showing the potential for efficiently removing mucus from the lungs and bloodstream through the manufacture of a ciliate bronchial tube.

Summary: The study reveals that entropy generation increases with the Eckert number, but decreases with a growth in nanoparticle volume fraction and shape factor. Furthermore, hexanol has higher irreversibility rate, Bejan number, and Nusselt number compared to water. The nanoparticle volume fraction has the most significant impact on the skin friction coefficient.

Theoretical study of an unsteady ciliary hemodynamic fluid flow subject to the Newton's boundary conditions

Mubbashar Nazeer et al.

Summary: This article investigates the hemodynamic flow of biological fluid through a symmetric channel, highlighting the influence of motile structures inducing Methachronal waves on Couple stress nanofluid flow and the impact of porous medium using Darcy's law. The study shows that nanoflow is resisted under Newton's boundary conditions, while thermal profile enhancement is contributed by the viscous dissipation parameter. The findings suggest that the hemodynamic flow of non-Newtonian fluid is an effective mode of heat and mass transfer, particularly in medical sciences for rapid transport of medicines in drug therapy.
