Mechanical performance of aluminum reinforced wood plastic composites under axial tension: an experimental and numerical investigation

Longlong Zhao et al.

Summary: A new wood plastic composite reinforced with aluminum was studied in this research, showing significantly improved mechanical properties compared to traditional WPCs, with higher ultimate stress and strain and better ductility. Two calculation models were proposed to predict its tensile stress-strain relationship, and the experimental results were in good agreement with the calculations.

Evaluation of the applicability of different viscoelasticity constitutive models in bamboo scrimber short-term tensile creep property research

Sun Songsong et al.

Summary: This study focused on the tensile creep characteristics of bamboo scrimber, and found that the combined fractional and Maxwell model provided higher accuracy in fitting the relationship between strain and time, making it more suitable for engineering applications.
