Characteristics of self-healable laponite-poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) hydrogels prepared by γ-ray irradiation

Jungin Kim et al.

Summary: In this study, self-healable laponite-poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) hydrogels were prepared using gamma-ray radiation through stepwise processes. The main factor affecting the properties was found to be the homogeneous distribution of laponite particles. Comparisons of samples prepared using various synthetic strategies indicated that the radiation method can provide better properties.
