An ultralight porous carbon foam with excellent EMI shielding properties was successfully prepared by coassembly of graphene oxide and the adenine-polyimide, showing high electrical conductivity and outstanding EMI performance in the X-band.
In this work, an ultralight porous carbon foam with excellent electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding properties was successfully prepared derived from coassembly of graphene oxide and the adenine-polyimide. The structure and performance of the coassembled carbon foam were studied by SEM, XRD, Raman spectroscopy, XPS, etc. The introduction of graphene is conducive to the construction of a conductive network, the retention of nitrogen, the preferred conversion of N-X nitrogen, the increase in porosity, and the graphitization of the carbon layer. The carbon foam showed high electrical conductivity (0.22-0.55 S/cm). In the X-band (8.2-12.4 GHz), outstanding EMI performance was obtained in the values of EMI SE (48.96 dB), SSE (8370.8 dB cm3/g), and SSE/ d (19789 dB cm2/g). Furthermore, the carbon foams showed compression recoverability and absorption capability for organic solvents.
