Ligand effects on structural, protophilic and reductive features of stannylated dinuclear iron dithiolato complexes

Hassan Abul-Futouh et al.

Summary: The synthesis and characterization of two new iron dithiolato complexes derived from a hexacarbonyl parent complex are reported. X-ray crystallography reveals different conformations in solution and a dynamic process of ligand exchange. Protonation experiments and cyclic voltammetry show differences in reactivity and protonation behavior compared to the parent complex.
