Monte Carlo simulation of resonance effects of electron transport in a spatially modulated electric field in Ar, N2 and their mixtures

A. Albert et al.

Summary: Electron transport in noble gases, such as Ar and N-2, at intermediate values of the reduced electric field (E/N around 10-40 Td) is affected by relaxation over an extended spatial domain. The study focuses on how transport properties change when the electric field is spatially modulated within a finite region with periodic boundaries, showing complex behaviors with increasing modulation levels. Mixing N-2 with Ar can lead to transition to local transport with high N-2 concentrations and long spatial domains.

Recommended Cross Sections for Electron-Indium Scattering

K. R. Hamilton et al.

Summary: This paper presents recommended cross sections for electron scattering from atomic indium including elastic scattering, discrete inelastic scattering processes, and total ionization cross section over an extended energy range. The construction of recommended cross-section databases involved various computational methods, and electron transport coefficients were subsequently calculated using these databases. Additionally, an elastic momentum transfer cross-section set was constructed to facilitate simulations.
