Ultrashort, MeV-scale laser-plasma positron source for positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy

Summary: Laser-driven systems have the potential to overcome the limitations of positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy, generating ultrashort positron beams for high-resolution volumetric material scanning. Numerical simulations demonstrate the possibility of producing MeV-scale narrow-band and high flux positron beams using this method.
