Modulation of work function of ITO by self-assembled monolayer and its effect on device characteristics of inverted perovskite solar cells

Neha Singh et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates that efficient perovskite-based solar cells can be fabricated by forming self-assembled monolayers on the ITO surface. By optimizing the energy level alignment between ITO and perovskite, device performance was improved, achieving a power conversion efficiency of 13.94%.

Chiral-induced spin selectivity enables a room-temperature spin light-emitting diode

Young-Hoon Kim et al.

Summary: Traditional optoelectronic approaches rely on both electrical and magnetic fields to control spin, charge, and light, while the use of chiral-induced spin selectivity (CISS) technology allows for the fabrication of a spin-LED that operates at room temperature without the need for magnetic fields or ferromagnetic contacts.

Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)-poly(styrenesulfonate) Modified by Water for Efficient Inverted Perovskite Solar Cells

Jian Xiong et al.

Summary: This study developed a facile method to modify PEDOT:PSS using water, which greatly improved the transmittance and resistance of the PEDOT:PSS films, enhanced the crystallinity and grain size of the perovskite film, leading to significantly reduced recombination loss and improved device performance. The PSCs based on modified PEDOT:PSS exhibited higher power conversion efficiency (PCE) and open-circuit voltage (Voc) compared to control devices prepared with unmodified PEDOT:PSS.

Achieving a Record Open-Circuit Voltage for Organic/Si Hybrid Solar Cells by Improving Junction Quality

Zhangbo Lu et al.

Summary: Nanostructured Si modified with TMAH and GOPS-doped PEDOT:PSS can improve the contact quality at the heterojunction interface, leading to a record V-OC of 660 mV in PEDOT:PSS/nanostructured Si hybrid solar cells. This simple and feasible strategy enhances the junction quality and performance of organic/Si solar cells, achieving an efficiency of 15.01%.

Zwitterions: promising interfacial/doping materials for organic/perovskite solar cells

Qiaoyun Chen et al.

Summary: Zwitterions, composed of fatty acids, have attracted continuous attention in organic/perovskite solar cells due to their unique chemical structures and electric charges. They are widely used as interfacial materials and dopants, with recent focus on their application in passivating defects and stabilizing perovskite films in OSCs and PSCs. Research has been focused on their functions as interlayers, the regulation of perovskite films, and different applications such as ultrathin zwitterionic materials and zwitterionic dopants.

Space Charge Regions at Organic p-i-Homointerfaces from Advanced Modeling of In Situ-Prepared Interfaces Analyzed by Photoelectron Spectroscopy

Markus Frericks et al.

Summary: The study investigates the electronic level alignment at interfaces, focusing on the interface between doped and undoped layers consisting of the same hole transport molecule. By using X-ray and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy, a fitting procedure based on an energetic disorder model is employed to interpret the data. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the model in accurately describing the data and enabling detailed discussions of the model for further research.
