Transformations of triple-bridged binuclear copper(I) complexes based on P,N-ligands under aerobic recrystallization

The transformations of copper(I) complexes based on pyridyl-containing phosphoranes were observed under aerobic recrystallization. Different types of complexes were obtained under mild oxidation conditions, and their crystalline structures were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction study.
Transformations of copper(I) complexes based on pyridyl-containing phospholanes in solutions under aerobic recrystallization were observed. Two types of complexes, namely P,N-chelate binuclear copper complex 3 of composition L2Cu2(FBF3)(2) (L = 2-phospholanopyridine) and N,O-chelate aqua complex 4 [L ' Cu-2(H2O)](BF4)(2) (L ' = 2-(phospholanoxide)pyridine), were obtained under mild oxidation of triple-bridged binuclear copper(I) complex (1) based on 2-phospholanopyridine. At the same time N,O-chelate complex 5 [L '' Cu-2](BF4)(2) (L '' = 4-methyl-2-(phospholanoxide)pyridine) was obtained from triple-bridged binuclear copper(I) complex (2) based on 4-methyl-2-phospholanopyridine under similar conditions. Structures of the complexes in the crystalline phase were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction study.
