Design, Synthesis, and Mechanism of Antiviral Acylurea Derivatives Containing a Trifluoromethylpyridine Moiety

Summary: Novel acylurea derivatives designed and synthesized demonstrated good antiviral activity against tobacco mosaic virus (TMV), with compound 7x showing high curative activity and compound 7ab exhibiting excellent inactivation activity. Through targeting TMV CP and inhibiting TMV self-assembly, these derivatives show potential for antiviral applications.

Purine Nucleoside Derivatives Containing a Sulfa Ethylamine Moiety: Design, Synthesis, Antiviral Activity, and Mechanism

Summary: A series of purine nucleoside derivatives containing sulfa ethylamine moieties were designed and synthesized for their antiviral activities against various viruses. Compound 3 showed excellent protective activity against CMV and PVY, with EC50 values better than that of the control agent ningnanmycin. Additionally, compound 3 demonstrated better inactivating activity against TMV compared to ningnanmycin, potentially due to its interaction with the coat protein of the virus.
