Topology optimization method of metamaterials design for efficient enhanced transmission through arbitrary-shaped sub-wavelength aperture

Pengfei Shi et al.

Summary: This study proposed a method for achieving maximum efficiency ET through arbitrary-shaped subwavelength apertures at specific frequencies by designing MTM microstructure using topology optimization. The model is based on the shape of the aperture and optimization of MTM.

Ultrawideband chromatic aberration-free meta-mirrors

Tong Cai et al.

Summary: This study introduces a general strategy to design chromatic aberration-free meta-devices with high efficiency and ultrabroadband properties by satisfying key criteria of desirable phase dispersion and high reflection amplitudes. Two microwave meta-devices, an achromatic meta-mirror and an abnormal chromatic meta-mirror, are designed, fabricated, and experimentally characterized, both exhibiting very high efficiencies in the frequency band.
