Highly efficient Cu-In-Zn-S/ZnS/PVP composites based white light-emitting diodes by surface modulation

Yanqiao Xu et al.

Summary: In this study, CIZS QDs were synthesized through a hydrothermal method with the assistance of an ionic liquid, leading to enhanced PL performance and reduced reaction time. Surface treatment with a ZnS shell further improved the PLQY of the QDs. The preparation of CIZS/ZnS/PVP composites helped eliminate aggregation-induced fluorescence quenching effect, showing potential for applications in WLEDs.

Optically photoactive Cu-In-S@ZnS core-shell quantum dots/biopolymer sensitized TiO2 nanostructures for sunlight energy harvesting

Josue C. Amaral-Junior et al.

Summary: In this study, a novel hybrid nanostructure for sunlight energy photoconversion was designed and developed, utilizing safe and sustainable design strategies. The nanostructure consists of non-cadmium inorganic semiconductor quantum dots, carboxylic-functionalized cellulose derivative, and a green chemistry approach for water-soluble supramolecular colloidal core-shell nanostructures. Through optical and photoelectrochemical characterization, the potential application of these quantum dot-sensitized nanostructures in sunlight energy conversion was confirmed, highlighting their prospects for sustainable clean energy production.
