Investigating the UV absorption capabilities in novel Ag@RGO/ZnO ternary nanocomposite for optoelectronic devices

Elhussein M. Hashem et al.

Summary: A novel ternary nanocomposite of Ag@RGO/ZnO was successfully synthesized using a facile one-pot method at room temperature, which functions as a low-cost, efficient, and reliable UV absorber. The optical characterization showed enhanced light absorption in the UV portion, attributed to the synergetic effect of Ag nanoparticles and RGO nanosheets. Additionally, the band-gap narrowing due to Ag-doping suggests potential applications for this nanocomposite.
