Modeling and Analysis of a Three-Terminal-Memristor-Based Conservative Chaotic System

Ze Wang et al.

Summary: This paper constructs a three-terminal memristor and embeds it into a newly proposed four-dimensional Euler equation, which leads to the establishment of a novel conservative chaotic system. A non-Hamiltonian conservative chaotic system is proposed, where the Hamiltonian of the conservative part determines the chaos generation in the system. Analysis of the dynamic behavior of the system suggests that mechanism adjustment can be used to achieve chaos in the system.

Mechanisms to decrease the diseases spreading on generalized scale-free networks

Mircea Galiceanu et al.

Summary: In this work, an epidemiological model is constructed on a lattice based on a chemical reaction, with a focus on susceptible individuals and infectious random walkers on a generalized scale-free network. The analysis reveals power-law behaviors strongly influenced by the gamma parameter controlling network topology, and to a lesser extent by K max and K min. Efficient reduction of infected individuals is achieved by changing the gamma parameter or reducing K max to extremely low values, effectively diminishing the number of contacts for each individual.

Dynamical analysis of a new chaotic system: asymmetric multistability, offset boosting control and circuit realization

Chenguang Ma et al.

Summary: This paper presents a new four-dimensional dissipative chaotic system capable of producing multiple asymmetric attractors, with analysis on its dynamical behavior. The system exhibits asymmetric multistability in the basin of attraction, and different types of asymmetric coexisting attractors are observed with changes in bifurcation parameters. The spectral entropy complexity chaotic diagrams are used to observe changes in sequence complexity as bifurcation parameters change simultaneously.

Non-linear Memristive Synaptic Dynamics for Efficient Unsupervised Learning in Spiking Neural Networks

Stefano Brivio et al.

Summary: Spiking neural networks (SNNs) differ from conventional neural networks (NNs) by coding information into spikes, allowing for real-time intelligent information extraction at the edge of data acquisition. Hardware constraints faced by both NN classes can potentially be overcome by emerging memory devices like resistive switching memories, phase change memories, or memristive devices, which allow for efficient operation of SNNs. The training procedures of conventional NNs have helped define the desired characteristics of memristive devices to implement synaptic units, although more research is needed to understand the main properties supporting efficient SNN operation.

Summary: This study introduces a new online mental fatigue detection method, which evaluates the reliability of EEG signals through self-weight ordinal regression (SWORE) and effectively distinguishes and suppresses noisy signals within channels by establishing shaking and steady state models. Experimental results show the consistency of SWORE with RT, demonstrating the feasibility and adaptability of the method in practical fatigue estimation.

Nonparametric bifurcation mechanism in 2-D hyperchaotic discrete memristor-based map

Yue Deng et al.

Summary: A new n-dimensional generalized DM model is proposed in this paper based on discrete theory, along with two 2-D discrete mathematical models that satisfy the three characteristics of memristors. By applying the mathematical model to the Sine map, a new hyperchaotic map called DM-S is obtained. The dynamical behaviors of DM-S including nonparametric bifurcation and hyperchaos are explored through phase diagrams, bifurcation diagrams, and Lyapunov exponent spectrums.

Design and FPGA Implementation of a Pseudo-random Number Generator Based on a Hopfield Neural Network Under Electromagnetic Radiation

Fei Yu et al.

Summary: A pseudo-random number generator (PRNG) based on a feedback controller using a Hopfield neural network chaotic oscillator is proposed to suppress chaotic degradation caused by numerical accuracy constraints in FPGA-based neural network systems. The system utilizes the magnetic flux across neuron cell membranes as a feedback condition to disturb other neurons, preventing periodicity. Implementation and synthesis on FPGA using Verilog HDL code, along with simulations on Vivado 2018.3 software, demonstrate high security and randomness in the generated binary data, verified through statistical tests. Additionally, an image encryption and decryption system based on the PRNG design is successfully implemented and validated through simulation and security analysis.
