A 21-year-old man with sickle cell trait presented with symptoms including sore throat, epistaxis, and oropharyngeal petechiae. Laboratory tests revealed low levels of hemoglobin, platelets, and white blood cells. A positive test for SARS-CoV-2 RNA prompted further diagnostic testing.
