Summary: Exposure to carboxyl-functionalized CNTs resulted in an up-regulation of the Cas2 gene in Jurkat cells, with carboxylated MWCNT showing a more significant effect compared to SWCNT. However, the expression levels of initiator Cas8 and Cas10 genes did not increase significantly, suggesting a unique mechanism of cell death induced by carboxylated MWCNT.
