Facet-Dependent and Adjacent Facet-Related Electrical Conductivity Properties of SrTiO3 Crystals

Summary: Electrical conductivity measurements on SrTiO3 crystals show that {110} faces are more conductive than {100} faces, with adjacent conductive faces influencing the conductivity of nearby faces. While Cu2O {110} faces remain insulating, electrodes contacting SrTiO3 {100} and {110} faces exhibit asymmetric I-V curves due to different barrier heights for charge carrier transport. High-resolution transmission electron microscopy images reveal atomic position shifts within surface lattice planes, consistent with theoretical predictions.
