Effect of the surface oxide layer on the stability of black phosphorus

Haiyan Nan et al.

Summary: The research found that the native phosphorus oxide layer formed on the surface of original black phosphorus with less than ten layers has a protective effect, allowing it to be stored in air for two weeks. In contrast, plasma-induced phosphorus oxide is not dense or robust enough to serve as protection. This discovery provides a new perspective for exploring the stability of electronic and optoelectronic devices based on black phosphorus.

Focal spot optimization through scattering media in multiphoton lithography

B. Buchegger et al.

Summary: Shaping the optical wavefront with spatial light modulators is valuable for focal spot modification, and has applications in multiphoton lithography focus optimization. A low-cost approach using a Raspberry Pi camera was used for feedback, and images of the focal spot were input for an evolutionary algorithm to improve focus quality.
