Bow shocks, nova shells, disc winds and tilted discs: the nova-like V341 Ara has it all

The system exhibits quasi-periodic, super-orbital variations and antiphased absorption and emission-line components, suggesting a high mass ratio and low white-dwarf mass. Studies on the system's wind mass-loss rate and possible connection to a historical 'guest star' in Chinese records provide valuable insights for testing nova theory.
