COMPASO: A new halo finder for competitive assignment to spherical overdensities

Boryana Hadzhiyska et al.

Summary: The new method COMPASO enhances the identification of particle groups in cosmological N-body simulations by considering tidal radius and enabling effective segregation and formation of haloes. It is used in the ABACUS-SUMMIT suite, and its robustness and effectiveness are demonstrated through visualization and comparison with other techniques.

The galaxy-halo connection of emission-line galaxies in IllustrisTNG

Boryana Hadzhiyska et al.

Summary: Using hydrodynamical simulation, we investigated the halo occupation distribution (HOD) and environmental dependence of luminous star-forming emission-line galaxies (ELGs) at z=1, finding that ELGs are more likely to reside in lower density regions and show similar occupation and clustering statistics between colour-selected and sSFR-selected ELGs.

The ABACUS cosmological N-body code

Lehman H. Garrison et al.

Summary: ABACUS is a fast and accurate cosmological N-body code based on a new method for calculating the gravitational potential. The method separates near- and far-field forces, achieving high particle updates per second while maintaining a low force error. ABACUS has been used to produce the largest suite of N-body simulations to date, enabling the creation of mock catalogues for upcoming cosmological surveys.

ABACUSSUMMIT: a massive set of high-accuracy, high-resolution N-body simulations

Nina A. Maksimova et al.

Summary: The ABACUSSUMMIT cosmological N-body simulation suite is released publicly, produced using the ABACUS N-body code on the Summit supercomputer. It achieves a high accuracy of O(10(-5)) and high speeds, with a total of 60 trillion particles and coverage for 97 cosmological models across 33 epochs.
