Novel siligraphene/g-C3N4composites with enhanced visible light photocatalytic degradations of dyes and drugs

Somayeh Darvishi-Farash et al.

Summary: A novel graphene-like SiC (siligraphene) was synthesized and used to enhance the photocatalytic activity of g-C3N4. The composite of siligraphene/g-C3N4 showed significantly improved photocatalytic properties in the degradation of dyes and drugs under visible light irradiation, attributed to enlarged surface area, suitable band gap, excellent electron properties, appropriate surface charge, and efficient electron migration.

One-pot synthesis of CuBi bimetallic alloy nanosheets-supported functionalized multiwalled carbon nanotubes as efficient photocatalyst for oxidation of fluoroquinolones

Zeynab Khazaee et al.

Summary: A new low-cost bimetallic nanoalloy of CuBi was successfully fabricated on carboxylated MWCNTs, demonstrating significantly enhanced visible light-driven photocatalytic removal of fluoroquinolone-type antibiotics (Ciprofloxacin and Ofloxacin) compared to pure CNTs. The ultrathin 2D nanosheets of CuBi alloy were uniformly distributed on the CNTs bundles, contributing to the high photocatalytic oxidation rate of the CuBi-nanoalloy/MWCNTs.

Highly Efficient Ag3PO4/g-C3N4 Z-Scheme Photocatalyst for Its Enhanced Photocatalytic Performance in Degradation of Rhodamine B and Phenol

Mingxi Zhang et al.

Summary: The Ag3PO4/g-C3N4 heterojunctions were synthesized using an in situ deposition method, and exhibited excellent photocatalytic degradation activity for Rh B and phenol under simulated sunlight conditions. The rapid charge separation between g-C3N4 and Ag3PO4 during the Z-scheme charge transfer and recombination process contributed to the significant improvement in photocatalytic activity and stability of g-C3N4/Ag3PO4.
