Betulinic Acid Alleviates Spleen Oxidative Damage Induced by Acute Intraperitoneal Exposure to T-2 Toxin by Activating Nrf2 and Inhibiting MAPK Signaling Pathways

Li Kong et al.

Summary: Betulinic acid (BA) was found to alleviate oxidative damage in the spleen induced by T-2 toxin by reducing ROS accumulation, activating the Nrf2 signaling pathway, and inhibiting the MAPK signaling pathway.

Asiaticoside ameliorates acinar cell necrosis in acute pancreatitis via toll-like receptor 4 pathway

Keyan Wu et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated the protective effect of Asiaticoside (AS) on acute pancreatitis (AP) in mice through the TLR4 pathway, reducing serum amylase levels and alleviating the histopathological manifestations of pancreatic tissue. AS also showed interactions with TLR4 and protected against pancreatic acinar cells necrosis.

Thymoquinone, extract from Nigella sativa seeds, protects human skin keratinocytes against UVA-irradiated oxidative stress, inflammation and mitochondrial dysfunction

Junfang Liang et al.

Summary: The study showed that TQ could improve UVA-induced skin cell injury by reducing oxidative stress and inflammation, as well as reversing cell apoptosis caused by mitochondrial dysregulation. TQ exerted its therapeutic effect by activating the NrF2/ARE pathway and inhibiting COX-2.
