However, the biological and clinical impact of this combination remains unclear, and further studies are needed to optimize its effectiveness. The heterogeneity of rectal cancer at the genetic and molecular levels, as well as the importance of tumor immune contexture, highlight the complexity of developing personalized treatment strategies for this disease.
