Ligand Design in Ligand-Protected Gold Nanoclusters

Bihan Zhang et al.

Summary: The design of surface ligands is crucial for ligand-protected gold nanoclusters. Surface ligands play important roles in interacting with the exterior environment and determining the structures and properties of nanoclusters. Various forces and bonds between ligands and gold atoms form the underlying chemistry of surface engineering for diverse applications.

Ag@WS2 quantum dots for Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy: Enhanced charge transfer induced highly sensitive detection of thiram from honey and beverages

Yinshuang Song et al.

Summary: This study developed novel SERS substrates using monodispersed tungsten disulfide quantum dots modified silver nanospheres (Ag@WS(2)QD) for rapid and sensitive analysis of toxic agrochemicals. Ag@WS(2)QD showed uniform and stable SERS signals within 2 minutes, with a 4 times higher analytical enhancement factor compared to unmodified colloidal silver nanoparticles. Enhanced charge transfer and unique surface properties contribute to the rapid and sensitive SERS detection using Ag@WS(2)QD.

Core size optimized silver coated gold nanoparticles for rapid screening of tricyclazole and thiram residues in pear extracts using SERS

Nisar Hussain et al.

Summary: The developed method using MCO-modified Au@AgNPs nanocomposites showed high sensitivity and significant enhancement of Raman scattering for detecting fungicide residues in pear fruit extracts. It can be employed as a SERS active platform for rapid assessment of trace contaminants of agrochemicals in agriculture production.
