Construction of Constitutive Model and Strain-Rate Sensitivity Coefficient Distribution Map of Ti2AlNb

Yongqiang Zhang et al.

Summary: The hot deformation behavior of Ti-22Al-25Nb was studied through high temperature compression experiments, revealing a work-hardening + dynamic recovery stage before dynamic recrystallization onset. The work-hardening rate significantly decreased with reduced strain rate and elevated temperature, and a physically-based constitutive model was established to predict the flow behavior of the alloy. Additionally, a distribution map of the strain-rate sensitivity coefficient showed higher values at low strain rates, with values below 0.25 when the strain rate exceeded 0.1 s(-1).

Deformation Behavior and Cavitation of AA2017 at Elevated Temperatures

E. Vaghefi et al.

Summary: This study investigated the deformation behavior of AA2017-T4 at elevated temperatures through tensile and creep experiments, revealing dynamic precipitation and recovery processes at specific temperature ranges. The activation energies for hot deformation were found to vary, with hard particles significantly influencing flow softening rates. Additionally, the creep activation energy and stress-exponent values indicated that dynamic recovery controlled by dislocation climb could be the dominant creep mechanism.

Hot Compression Mechanism and Comparative Study on Constitutive Models of Mo-3 vol%Al2O3 Alloys

Liying Yao et al.

Summary: The hot compression tests for Mo-3 vol.%Al2O3 alloys were conducted in the temperature range of 1000-1300 degrees C and strain rates range of 0.005-1 s(-1). The research focused on the hot deformation behavior and microstructure evolution mechanism of Mo-3 vol.%Al2O3 alloys. Three constitutive equations were established and evaluated for predicting the flow stress of the alloys, with the modified Arrhenius model showing the highest accuracy.
