Vibration and nonlinear dynamic analysis of sandwich FG-CNTRC plate with porous core layer

Ngo Dinh Dat et al.

Summary: This paper focuses on the influence of CNTs, porosity, mechanical and thermal loading on the vibration and dynamic response of the sandwich functionally graded carbon nanotube-reinforced composite (FG-CNTRC) composite plate. The numerical illustration is shown to examine the influence of various parameters on the dynamic behaviors of the plate.

Analytical modeling of carbon nanotubes effects and their distribution patterns on the low velocity impact response of sandwich panels

Saeed Feli et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the effects of carbon nanotubes and their distribution patterns on low velocity impact response in sandwich panels. Effective properties of carbon nanotubes are calculated using a composite cylinder micromechanics technique, which are then used in Mori-Tanaka methods to obtain elastic moduli of face sheets consisting of aligned or randomly oriented straight carbon nanotubes.

Free vibration of rotating pretwisted FG-GRC sandwich conical shells in thermal environment using HSDT

Tripuresh Deb Singha et al.

Summary: In this study, the free vibration behavior of rotating pretwisted sandwich conical shell panels with functionally graded graphene-reinforced composite face sheets and homogenous core was investigated using finite element method and higher-order shear deformation theory. The results suggest that the distribution patterns of graphene have a significant influence on the vibration frequencies of sandwich shell panels.

Free vibration analysis of FG-CNTRC conical shell panels using the kernel particle Ritz element-free method

Ping Xiang et al.

Summary: In this study, the free vibration analysis of functionally graded carbon nanotube reinforced composite conical shell was carried out using the element-free kp-Ritz method. The material properties were determined by rule of mixtures and varied with thickness. The effects of various factors on the free vibration frequency characteristics were discussed in detail.

Free vibration analysis of a laminated composite sandwich plate with compressible core placed at the bottom of a tank filled with fluid

Arash Ramian et al.

Summary: This study addresses the free vibration problem of a laminated composite sandwich plate placed at the bottom of a tank filled with fluid, using extended higher order sandwich plate theory and first-order shear deformation theory. Governing differential equations and boundary conditions are derived from Hamilton's principle, and natural frequencies are calculated using the Rayleigh-Ritz method. Various parameters effects on the system are investigated.

Thermoelastic free vibration of rotating pretwisted sandwich conical shell panels with functionally graded carbon nanotube-reinforced composite face sheets using higher-order shear deformation theory

Tripuresh Deb Singha et al.

Summary: This study numerically investigates the free vibration characteristics of rotating pretwisted sandwich conical shell panels with FG-CNTRC face sheets and a homogeneous core in uniform thermal environments. The effects of parameters on natural frequencies under different thermal conditions are analyzed, with consideration of temperature-dependent material properties and alignment and distribution of carbon nanotubes.
