Summary: This study conducted a numerical simulation of immiscible liquid-liquid displacement flow in a two-dimensional rectilinear Hele-Shaw cell, identifying the finger shape instability and viscous fingering at the oil-water interface. By analyzing the process of water displacing oil, it was concluded that the sweep efficiency gradually increases over time during displacement.
