Prince: An improved method for measuring incentivized preferences

Cathleen Johnson et al.

Summary: The Prince incentive system combines the tractability of direct matching with the clarity and validity of choice lists to measure preferences. It ensures incentive compatibility, transparency, and avoidance of strategic behavior in adaptive experiments. Empirical findings support modern behavioral views and show that Prince gives better results compared to a classical random incentive system.
