Ternary heterojunctions synthesis and sensing mechanism of Pd/ZnO-SnO2 hollow nanofibers with enhanced H2 gas sensing properties

Kelin Hu et al.

Summary: Pd/ZnO-SnO2 hollow nanofibers prepared by electrospinning and magnetron sputtering exhibited excellent hydrogen sensing behavior, with a response reaching 171 at 270 degrees C. The enhanced sensing performance was attributed to the ternary heterojunctions formed in the hollow nanofibers. Various characterization techniques were used to study the materials and further explain the morphology formation process.

Impact of the central frequency of environment on non-Markovian dynamics in piezoelectric optomechanical devices

Quanzhen Ding et al.

Summary: We introduced a semi-classical and full-quantum model of piezoelectric optomechanical systems coupled to a noisy bosonic quantum environment, and solved it in terms of quantum-state diffusion trajectories in the non-Markovian regime. Our findings show that the noisy environment can enhance entanglement generation between optical cavities and LC circuits in some parameter regimes, as well as observe critical points in the coefficient functions leading to different behaviors in the system. Additionally, we witnessed entanglement transfers between macroscopic objects due to the memory effect of the environment.

Effect of construction angles on microstructure and mechanical properties of AlSi10Mg alloy fabricated by selective laser melting

Xiaofeng Li et al.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of different construction angles on the microstructure and mechanical properties of AlSi10Mg alloys by fabricating seven bulks with different angles using selective laser melting. The results showed that increasing the construction angle changed the laser track segments and affected the grain structure in the vertical planes. The mechanical property anisotropy of the alloy was attributed to various factors such as pores, equiaxed grain structure, ultra-fine equiaxed sub-grains, and working hardening.

Failure prediction, monitoring and diagnosis methods for slewing bearings of large-scale wind turbine: A review

Xin Jin et al.

Summary: Slewing bearings in large-scale wind turbine generator systems play a critical role in optimizing aerodynamic power capture, but failures can lead to serious consequences. Research on predicting, monitoring, and diagnosing slewing bearing failures in the wind power industry is still limited, and further exploration is needed.

Wave mixing and high-harmonic generation enhancement by a two-color field driven dielectric metasurface [Invited]

Weifeng Yang et al.

Summary: High-harmonic generation in metasurfaces driven by strong laser fields has been widely studied, showing larger nonlinearity response and higher damage threshold compared to plasma. By using two-color pump fields, the intensity of high-harmonic radiation results can be enhanced by one order of magnitude.
