Treatment of textile industry wastewater by electro-Fenton process using graphite electrodes in batch and continuous mode

Ayse Kuleyin et al.

Summary: This study investigated the effectiveness of electro-Fenton (EF) technology for advanced treatment of biologically treated textile wastewater using graphite electrodes. The EF process significantly reduced color, COD, and TOC content of the wastewater under optimal operating conditions. In continuous system, high removal efficiencies were achieved for color, COD, and TOC, demonstrating the promising potential of EF process with graphite electrodes for improving wastewater quality.

Development of the Low-Cost and Green Hibiscus cannabinus Bioadsorbent for the Removal of Dye in Wastewater

Yugadarshni Samudra Raja et al.

Summary: This study developed an eco-friendly bioadsorbent using kenaf with promising adsorption potential for wastewater treatment applications. It was found that initial dye concentration and adsorbent dosage are critical factors for dye adsorption. The adsorption of methylene blue followed a pseudo-second-order model and Langmuir isotherm, with a maximum adsorption capacity of 154.0 mg/g within 1 hour based on Taguchi experimental design matrix.
