On Sharp Enhancement of Effective Mass of Quasiparticles and Coefficient of T2 Term of Resistivity around First-Order Metamagnetic Transition Observed in UTe2

Kazumasa Miyake

Summary: This study explores the mechanism of enhanced Sommerfeld coefficient of quasiparticles during the first-order metamagnetic transition in UTe2, attributing it to the increased ferromagnetic spin fluctuation leading to the effective mass enhancement. Additionally, the Kadowaki-Woods type scaling around the metamagnetic transition is semiquantitatively understood by assuming reasonable values of parameters in the Landau-type free energy.

Comparison of two superconducting phases induced by a magnetic field in UTe2

W. Knafo et al.

Summary: Superconductivity induced by a magnetic field near metamagnetism is observed in the orthorhombic paramagnet UTe2. The study investigates the variation in superconducting properties under different magnetic-field directions and their relation to metamagnetism. The similar behavior of superconductivity in different field directions poses constraints on theoretical models and suggests the involvement of subtle factors.

Field-Induced Superconductivity near the Superconducting Critical Pressure in UTe2

Dai Aoki et al.

Summary: The study on magnetoresistance under pressure in UTe2, a novel spin-triplet superconductor, reveals changes in superconducting properties as pressure increases, with the emergence of magnetic order close to the critical pressure leading to field-reentrant behavior, and field-induced superconductivity observed at high fields.

Multicomponent superconducting order parameter in UTe2

I. M. Hayes et al.

Summary: The superconductivity in UTe2 is characterized by a two-component order parameter that breaks time-reversal symmetry, as shown by observations of a nonzero polar Kerr effect and two transitions in specific heat. These findings place constraints on the symmetries of the order parameter and contribute to the discussion on the presence of topological superconductivity in UTe2.

Anomalous anisotropy of the lower critical field and Meissner effect in UTe2

Summary: Our study on single crystals of UTe2 reveals interesting findings, such as the diamond-shaped hysteresis curves and the 100% shielding effect of the Meissner state. However, the flux pinning effect due to ferromagnetism becomes significant at lower magnetic fields.

Anisotropic response of spin susceptibility in the superconducting state of UTe2 probed with 125Te -NMR measurement

Genki Nakamine et al.

Summary: Investigating the spin susceptibility in a superconducting state, Te-125-NMR Knight shifts were measured along the b and c axes of single-crystal UTe2 at magnetic fields up to 6.5 T. The results show a slight decrease in spin susceptibility along the b and c axes in the superconducting state at low magnetic fields, with an anisotropic response on the bc plane. The dominant d-vector component changes above 13 T, leading to an increase in Tc with increasing magnetic field.
