Gold nanoparticles plated porous silicon nanopowder for nonenzymatic voltammetric detection of hydrogen peroxide

Md. A. Rashed et al.

Summary: A voltammetric approach for the determination of hydrogen peroxide was developed using an Au plated porous silicon nanopowder modified electrode. The AuNPs-PSi hybrid structure exhibited a well crystalline nature and high catalytic efficiency. The modified electrode showed remarkable linear dynamic range, high sensitivity, low detection limit, excellent anti-interfering ability, good operational stability, and reproducibility, making it a promising electrocatalyst for H2O2 detection.

An electrochemical sensor for simultaneous determination of some pharmaceutical compounds using ionic liquid and Pd nanoparticles supported on porous silicon doped carbon-ceramic electrode as a renewable surface composite electrode

Habib Bahadori et al.

Summary: A novel approach using Pd nanoparticles supported on porous silicon powder was presented, resulting in a Pd/PSi nanocomposite doped carbon-ceramic electrode with synergetic impact on the oxidation of codeine and acetaminophen. The nanostructure showed high electrochemical activity, surface area, fast electron transfer rate, and proper antifouling features, leading to increased peak currents and decreased peak potentials of oxidation. The proposed electrochemical sensor successfully detected ACT and COD in real samples with satisfactory results.

Carbon-stabilized porous silicon as novel voltammetric sensor platforms

Clara Perez-Rafols et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated the use of carbon-stabilized porous silicon (pSi) as a voltammetric sensing platform capable of discriminating the detection of various electroactive species with similar redox potentials. By studying the electrochemical performance of carbonized silicon in the detection of three dihydroxybenzene isomers, it was shown that carbonized silicon outperformed a traditional glassy carbon electrode in terms of electrochemical properties.
