Two-dimensional conductive phthalocyanine-based metal-organic frameworks for electrochemical nitrite sensing

Summary: 2D nickel phthalocyanine based MOFs (NiPc-MOFs) with excellent conductivity were synthesized through a solvothermal approach. These nanosheets exhibit excellent electrocatalytic activity for nitrite sensing, presenting an ultra-wide linear concentration range and a low detection limit, surpassing most reported electrochemical nitrite sensors. This work demonstrates the synthesis and application of 2D conductive NiPc-MOFs as electrochemical biosensors for non-enzymatic nitrite determination for the first time.
