Perovskite solar cells with atomically coherent interlayers on SnO2 electrodes

Hanul Min et al.

Summary: By introducing an interlayer between the electron-transporting and perovskite layers in perovskite solar cells, researchers have successfully enhanced charge extraction and transport from the perovskite, leading to higher power conversion efficiency and fewer interfacial defects. The coherent interlayer allowed the fabrication of devices with a certified efficiency of 25.5%, which maintained about 90% of its initial efficiency even after continuous light exposure for 500 hours. The findings provide guidelines for designing defect-minimizing interfaces in metal halide perovskites and electron-transporting layers.

Perovskite Light-Emitting Diodes with External Quantum Efficiency Exceeding 22% via Small-Molecule Passivation

Zema Chu et al.

Summary: The functional additive ethoxylated trimethylolpropane triacrylate (ETPTA) can effectively reduce defects in perovskite films, improving the performance of Perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) to achieve high external quantum efficiency. These findings provide a simple and effective strategy for producing highly efficient perovskite polycrystalline films and their optoelectronics devices.

Molten-Salt-Assisted CsPbI3 Perovskite Crystallization for Nearly 20%-Efficiency Solar Cells

Jingru Zhang et al.

Summary: The molten-salt-assisted crystallization (MSAC) strategy improves grain growth of all-inorganic perovskite films by changing the crystallization pathways with the introduction of molten salt. This results in high-quality films with desired optical and electrical properties. Compared to traditional solvent annealing, MSAC enables more intensive mass transfer and higher efficiency in producing films with champion steady-state output efficiency and high open-circuit voltage.

Grains boundary networking interconnection design for robust flexible perovskite solar cell

Yaxiong Guo et al.

Summary: By introducing monomer ETPTA into perovskite intermediate phases, a dynamic elastic protective layer over the perovskite grain boundary is formed, providing excellent mechanical stability against tensile strain. This method addresses the intrinsic fragility of perovskite materials and enhances the flexibility of perovskite photovoltaic devices.
