Progress in phase-sensitive sum frequency generation spectroscopy

Shoichi Yamaguchi et al.

Summary: Sum frequency generation (SFG) spectroscopy is a powerful tool for studying surfaces and interfaces, while phase-sensitive SFG (PS-SFG) is an upgraded technique that overcomes inherent drawbacks of conventional SFG. Significant progress has been made in the design and construction of PS-SFG methods, which have addressed some of the problems overlooked by traditional SFG.
