Reducing False Triggering Caused by Irrelevant Mental Activities in Brain-Computer Interface Based on Motor Imagery

Lujia Zhou et al.

Summary: This study examined the feasibility of reducing false triggering in brain-computer interfaces using a novel paradigm that combines MI and SSSEP features. The results showed that SSSEP features significantly reduced the false triggering rate and improved task recognition rates compared to traditional ERD features. The specificity of SSSEP was found to be higher than ERD, indicating the potential for more accurate rehabilitation training.
