Synthesis and Characterization for New Nanometer Cu(II) Complexes, Conformational Study and Molecular Docking Approach Compatible with Promising in Vitro Screening

Samar Y. Al-nami et al.

Summary: The study synthesized new Cu(II) complexes and characterized them using analytical, spectral, and conformational techniques. The complexes were found to behave as bidentate ligands towards the copper center, with two proposed structural forms. Conformational studies were conducted using DFT method, and functional parameters were calculated, further confirmed by QSAR parameters and MOE-docking module. The data suggest potential biological efficiency of the complexes against breast cancer cells, with promising anticancer screening results.
