This study conducted a comparative evaluation of the acoustic non-linearity parameter for binary liquid mixtures of N, N-dimethylacetamide with Polyethylene Glycol using seven different methods. It also calculated the temperature and pressure derivatives of ultrasonic velocity, as well as molecular properties. The aim was to improve understanding of the nature and strength of intermolecular interactions in the mixtures.
The present paper deals with the comparative evaluation of acoustic non-linearity parameter (B/A) for binary liquid mixtures of N, N-dimethylacetamide (DMA) with Polyethylene Glycol 200 (PEG 200) and Polyethylene Glycol 400 (PEG 400) using seven different approaches as Beyer, Hartmann, Ballou, H. Endo, Lu, Tong-Dong and Beyer-Tong Dong at temperatures 308.15, 318.15 and 328.15 K. The excess values of B/A have been computed using all seven approaches and substituted into the Redlich-lister equation. The temperature and pressure derivatives of ultrasonic velocity using Beyer and Beyer- Tong Dong methods have been presented for both the mixtures. Molecular properties have also been calculated by Beyer-Tong Dong method using Sehgal's relations. The aim of the present investigation is to check the validity and efficacy of different methods on the dimethylacetamide-Polyethylene Glycol mixtures and to get the better understanding about the nature and strength of the intermolecular interactions in the mixtures.
