Comparative study of alkylammonium- and alkylphosphonium-based analogues of organo-montmorillonites

Jana Madejova et al.

Summary: Organo-montmorillonites are highly attractive materials with wide application potential. This study reported the structural, vibrational, and thermal characteristics of two series of alkylammonium- and alkylphosphonium-montmorillonites for the first time. It was found that phosphonium-based montmorillonites had higher interlayer space expansion and higher decomposition rate temperature compared to their ammonium counterparts.

Effect of concentration and sedimentation on boiling heat transfer coefficient of GNPs-SiO2/deionized water hybrid Nanofluid: An experimental investigation

Mingyang Huang et al.

Summary: The study investigated the boiling heat transfer of silicon oxide-graphene hybrid nanofluid in deionized water, showing that the boiling heat transfer coefficient decreases with increasing concentration. Additionally, increasing nanofluid concentration alters the boiling surface roughness and increases surface tension, impacting the boiling process.
