The research investigates the effect of rare earth ions on LRCSM manganites, showing that Er-doped compounds exhibit a better dielectric behavior and potential applications in electronic devices.
The current research work investigates the effect of incorporating rare earth ions on the structural, vibrational, and dielectric behaviors of La0.67R0.03Ca0.20Sr0.10MnO3 (LRCSM) (R = Pr, Er) manganites. The LRCSM (R = Pr, Er) ceramics were elaborated via the solid-state route. The X-ray diffraction at room temperature showed that all the samples crystallize in the rhombohedral structure. The Raman spectra indicated the chemical disorder in our samples, at room temperature. The impedance measurement revealed the existence of a non-Debye relaxation process. The dielectric results demonstrated that the Er-doped compound has a better dielectric behavior than Pr-doped compounds. The dielectric constants decreased with frequency and their process was investigated in the framework of space charge polarization following Maxwell-Wagner's two-layer type. The elevated conductivity and dielectric permittivity values suggest that our ceramics can be suitable for applications in electronic devices.
