Progress in fabrication of one-dimensional catalytic materials by electrospinning technology

Summary: Electrospinning technology is a simple, versatile, and cost-efficient method used for large-scale fabrication of one-dimensional nanomaterials. The one-dimensional fibrous materials prepared by electrospinning possess large specific surface area, tunable chemical composition, and high porosity, making them extensively applied in the field of catalysis. Various one-dimensional electrospun fibrous catalytic materials have been investigated in applications such as photocatalysis, thermocatalysis, and electrocatalysis, with a focus on the relation between catalytic properties and composition, unique one-dimensional structure, morphology, and related catalytic mechanisms.
