Enabling predictive maintenance integrated production scheduling by operation-specific health prognostics with generative deep learning

Summary: Predictive Maintenance (PdM) has become a core innovation in recent years, but most models are not validated with industrial data. To bridge the gap between research and industry and create added value, a holistic framework is proposed to integrate PdM models with production scheduling. This integration requires an operation-specific health prognostics model, for which a generative deep learning model based on conditional variational autoencoder is suggested to derive a health indicator from industrial condition monitoring data.
