Neutrophil Phospholipase Cγ2 Drives Autoantibody-Induced Arthritis Through the Generation of the Inflammatory Microenvironment

Krisztina Futosi et al.

Summary: Deleting neutrophil PLC gamma 2 can completely block autoantibody-induced arthritis, possibly through generating the inflammatory microenvironment. PLC gamma 2-expressing neutrophils have complex indirect effects on other inflammatory cells. Targeted therapies against PLC gamma 2 may be particularly beneficial in inflammatory diseases with a significant neutrophil component.
