Summary: This study revealed that the higher distribution frequency of valid adsorption sites and higher solution temperature contributed to the efficient phosphate uptake. The analysis also indicated that temperature greatly influenced the diffusion pathway, and characterization-based analysis proposed various possible adsorption mechanisms.

Comparative analysis of soil nutrients under different land-use types in the Mun River basin of Northeast Thailand

Summary: The study compared soil nutrient differences under different land-use types in the Mun River basin of Northeast Thailand. Results showed that silty soils under artificial forest had higher contents of organic carbon, organic nitrogen, and inorganic minerals compared to sandy soils under native forest. Abandoned paddy lands had significantly lower soil nutrient contents than paddy fields due to severe loss of fine particles.

Equilibrium Study and Analysis of Site Energy Distribution of Butanol Sorption on a Biosorbent

Summary: A biosorbent derived from oat hulls was used to dehydrate butanol from water mixture, showing competitive sorption between butanol and water with higher affinity of the biosorbent to water. The dipole-dipole attraction mechanism could be key for butanol sorption by the biosorbent. The process was found to be spontaneous and exothermic based on thermodynamic parameters.
