Enhancement of Cr(VI) removal efficiency via adsorption/photocatalysis synergy using electrospun chitosan/g-C3N4/TiO2 nanofibers

Summary: Chitosan/g-C3N4/TiO2 (CS/CNT) nanofibers were fabricated for Cr(VI) removal using adsorption and photocatalytic processes. The addition of g-C3N4/TiO2 enhanced the acid resistance of CS, leading to improved removal efficiency of Cr(VI) under visible-light irradiation through synergistic effect of adsorption and photocatalysis.

Enhanced photocatalytic activity at multidimensional interface of 1D-Bi2S3@2D-GO/3D-BiOI ternary nanocomposites for tetracycline degradation under visible-light

Summary: Structural dimensionality and surface morphology greatly influence material functionalities. In this study, dimensionally coupled ternary nanocomposites were synthesized using 3D bismuth oxyiodide, 2D graphene oxide, and 1D bismuth sulfide for tetracycline degradation under visible-light irradiation. The combination of dimensionally coupled composites showed enhanced photocatalytic performance through efficient charge transfer processes.

Urchin-Like Bi2S3/Ag Nanostructures for Photocatalytic Reduction of Cr(VI)

Summary: The incorporation of Ag into urchin-like Bi2S3 nanostructures improves their photothermal conversion efficiency and optical absorption capacity, leading to enhanced photocatalytic activity. The synergistic effects between photocatalysis and photothermal effects contribute to the significantly improved photocatalytic efficiency of Bi2S3/Ag nanostructures. This study provides insights into the design of high-efficient photocatalysts based on the photothermal effect.
