Brief communication: Reduction in the future Greenland ice sheet surface melt with the help of solar geoengineering

Xavier Fettweis et al.

Summary: The Greenland Ice Sheet is projected to lose mass at an accelerating pace in the 21st century, with a direct correlation to anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions. Reduction in incoming solar radiation may mitigate surface meltwater production and decrease the surface mass balance reduction on the Greenland ice sheet.
