Recent advances on aptamer-based biosensors for detection of pathogenic bacteria

Danliang Li et al.

Summary: Bacteria play a significant role in the biosphere and have a great impact on human activities, particularly in relation to pathogen detection and human health. Traditional methods for detecting pathogenic bacteria are time-consuming and challenging for quantification, highlighting the need for rapid, sensitive, and cost-effective detection strategies. Aptamer-based biosensors, with their high affinity and specificity, have shown promise in pathogen detection and offer potential for further development in this area.
