Advancing hydrological process understanding from long-term resistivity monitoring systems

Lee Slater et al.

Summary: The article discusses the emergence of long-term resistivity monitoring (LTRM) as a robust tool in hydrology and its potential to provide valuable information beyond traditional hydrology tools. Case studies demonstrate the untapped potential of LTRM in various hydrology subdisciplines. The future opportunities and challenges regarding the widespread adoption of LTRM, including addressing uncertainties in resistivity interpretation and computational needs, are critically discussed.
