Metal-organic framework-derived yolk-shell hollow Ni/NiO@C microspheres for bifunctional non-enzymatic glucose and hydrogen peroxide biosensors

Summary: In this study, yolk-shell hollow Ni/NiO@C microspheres were successfully template-synthesized using Ni-MOF, displaying a unique structure with rich pore openings. The microspheres were used as a bifunctional electrocatalyst for glucose oxidation and H2O2 reduction, showing wide linear ranges, high sensitivity, and the ability to quantitatively detect glucose in blood serum and monitor H2O2 in neutral situations.

The nanostructure demonstrated excellent catalytic performance for glucose and H2O2 oxidation, making it a potentially effective sensor for real sample analysis.

Summary: Transition metal selenides are important materials for hybrid supercapacitors, and in this study, bimetallic copper cobalt selenide nano-particles were synthesized in N-doped carbon layers using metal-organic framework as templates. The resulting electrode demonstrated high specific capacity, outstanding rate capability, and cycling stability, leading to a hybrid supercapacitor device with high energy density and long-term cycling stability.
