Hierarchical Co 2 VO 4 yolk-shell microspheres con fi ned by N-doped carbon layer as anode for high-rate lithium-ion batteries

Jinzhe Liu et al.

Summary: Binary transition metal oxides show promise as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries, but the challenges of low conductivity and large volume changes have hindered their commercialization. By synthesizing novel spinel Co2VO4 yolk-shell microspheres coated with nitrogen-doped carbon shell (Co2VO4@NC), these issues have been overcome, resulting in excellent battery performance.
